On Oct. 9, 2025, Hammerstone, a BURNCO company, was named Canada’s Safest Mining & Natural Resources Employer at the 15th Annual Canada’s Safest Employers Awards. The awards recognize outstanding health and safety professionals and companies for their achievements, leadership and innovation over the past 12 months.
To be considered, employers must demonstrate how they protect the health and safety of anyone who has access to or works on or off their premises or facilities. The Canadian Occupational Safety team conducts in-depth research to create a shortlist of nominees. Finalists then complete a detailed submission and participate in an employee perception survey. An independent panel of industry experts and occupational health and safety professionals evaluate all entries to determine the winners.
