BURNCO has been progressively reclaiming aggregate quarries to maximize community benefit since the 1950s. Sites are returned to their native use or repurposed into beneficial end-use facilities such as wetlands, parks, or subdivisions.

BURNCO actively pursues sustainable practices to minimize waste and recycle processed materials for our families today and the planet tomorrow.

Leading the Industry with Stringent Land Reclamation Practices

BURNCO progressively reclaims aggregate quarries to maximize community benefit. Sites are returned to their native use or repurposed into beneficial end-use facilities such as wetlands, parks, or subdivisions.

Maximizing Our Recycling Efforts For A Better Future

With BURNCO’s environmental practices and zero-waste objectives in check, we use Recycled Asphalt Products (RAP) as the feedstock in our asphalt production facilities. Additionally, we use recycled concrete as stack blocks in retaining walls, dividers, and barriers. Equipped with separate waste and recycling bins on our sites, we ensure that every material we utilize undergoes a thorough recycling process.

Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction As A Mandate

Our holistic 360-degree procedures ensure that we aggressively pursue clean energy while minimizing emissions. In addition, BURNCO is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to recapture clean-burning fuels that reduce CO2 emissions, paving the way for enhanced emission control and further reducing our environmental impact.

Water Stewardship

At BURNCO, we pride ourselves on exceeding regulatory requirements for water use by extensively recycling our water throughout our operations. Our wash water is recycled and re-fed into our plants with over 90% efficiency. Additionally, we assure that wastewater is collected and utilized onsite with innovative site-grading and perimeter-ditching techniques.

Cultivating A Culture of Farming and Beekeeping

Our lands are leased for agricultural purposes when not used for our operations. We handpick and collaborate with farmers and ranchers to ensure the best agriculture practices. BURNCO collaborates with Beekeepers across North America to host beehives at our aggregate operations. The honey derived from the hives is sold as Buzzco, with the proceeds going directly to charities.

Using Clean Burning Fuels

BURNCO uses natural gas to dry aggregate and heat asphalt cement, employing environmentally efficient equipment to minimize our footprint.
